CD Turntables Can Be Reliable For All DJs

I've always loved listening to vinyl records ever since my dad used to play to me after school. Back then he was obsessed with collecting records and it was normal to me to DJ these tunes when he had guests over to the house.

A large Record Collection Was Passed To Me

In the end before he passed away, my dad had collected over 4000 records. In his will he left them all to me because he knew that I was always the one who would treasure his vinyl collection and because I was a professional DJ of course helped.

So I've obviously been collecting vinyl myself over the years, not just playing my dad's records haha. But I do still use his records on occasion on my Technics 1210s when I want to play some Jazz or some American Blues.

Forever a Fan of Vinyl Records

Now I am a fan of the sound of vinyl turntables, it's richness, and it's scratchy depth that is unobtainable with the cleanness of modern mp4s. However, I did make the journey over to the dark side of CDJing about 5 years back. I have to tell you that I haven't looked back.  The modern day CD turntables are better than excellent, they are phenominal.

Don't Be Scared of CD Turntables

I recently bought myself an upgrade because my croud sizes are increasing so much now that I needed the best of the best CD turntables on the market. Of course I went with the Pioneer DJ CDJ-2000NXS2 and they have not dissapointed. They're amazing and I take them with me to every gig I do.

There is one thing to bear in mind though with CD deejay turntables, you still can scratch as you would with a conventional wax record. Don't be fooled into thinking that with CDJ equipment that the scratching old school techniques are dead, they are very much alive.
